
Dr. Natalia Kozyrovska is a Ukrainian researcher specializing in Systems Biology and Astrobiology. She heads the Laboratory of Microbial Ecology at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics in Kyiv, which focuses on intermicrobial communication via extracellular membrane vesicles. As a Principal Investigator, Dr. Kozyrovska led groundbreaking studies on the genomic and metagenomic adaptations of kombucha culture exposed to the extraterrestrial environment on the International Space Station (ISS). Currently, she is leading her team’s contribution to the European Space Agency’s BioSign project on the ISS.
