Tomáš Kohout is a senior research fellow at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Aalto University, Finland, docent (adjunct professor) at University of Helsinki, as well as senior researcher at the Institute of Geology, The Czech Academy of Sciences. He is specialized in planetary geology and geophysics, particularly in meteorite mineralogy asteroid surfaces and interiors, space weathering, reflectance spectroscopy, and hyperspectral payloads. He serves as Milani CubeSat & ASPECT hyperspectral camera science PI in the ESA Hera mission and MIRMIS hyperspectral camera project scientist in the ESA Comet Interceptor mission. He is SOWG representative in ESA Hera and Comet Interceptor missions.
