Dr. Sarken Kapayeva is working as a Professor at Mechanical Engineering Department of East Kazakhstan Technical University in Ust Kamenogorsk. She graduated from the Technical University of Almaty and her present research area is concentrated on metalworking, material science, non-destructive metal testing methods and engineering manufacturing processes. She is the author of over 40 articles, 11 patents, and 2 monographs and was involved as Principal Investigator in numerous research projects financed by Kazakhstan Government and foreign organizations. Professor Kapayeva has been overseeing international cooperation and faculty/student mobility programs with many universities in Europe and Asia and advising Master’s and Ph.D thesis for domestic and foreign students.
